SEP. 13 CITY TOUR & ST. ISAAC'S CATHEDRAL
Visit the world-famous sights & impressive landmarks of this historic city, such as the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Admiralty, and the Church of the Savior of Spilled Blood. Lunch nearby. Continue your tour to St. Isaac's Cathedral, an architectural marvel. B L
SEP. 14 HERMITAGE MUSEUM & PETERHOF
Visit the State Hermitage Museum, which houses works by Leonardo da Vinci, Rafael and Picasso. After a break for lunch, continue to Peterhof, the “Russian Versailles.” The world-famous palace, fountain and park ensemble of Peterhof is an outstanding landmark of Russian culture of the 18 - 19th centuries. SEP. 15 TRAVEL DAY TO MOSCOW
Depart St. Petersburg at 1:00p on the Sapsan #157, High-speed train to Moscow. Arrive at 5:40p and check-in to the Courtyard by Marriott city center hotel. Dinner at your hotel.B D
SEP. 16 RED SQUARE & KREMLIN/ ARMOURY MUSEUM
Visit the Red Square, Lenin’s Mausoleum, and tour St. Basil’s Cathedral. After lunch, visit the Kremlin Palace and Armoury Museum, oldest museum if Russia with a unique collection of crown jewels. B L
SEP. 17 KOLOMENSKOE, CHRIST THE SAVIOR CHURCH, METRO & OLD ARBAT ST.
Visit the Kolomenskoe Museum and grounds, the old imperial estate nestled in the west bank of the Moscow River. After lunch, tour the Moscow Metro, visit the Christ the Savior Church and Old Arbat Street.B L
SEP. 18 ARMENIAN MONASTERY COMPLEX OF MOSCOW + FLIGHT TO YEREVAN
Visit the newly built Armenian Apostolic Church. Continue to SVO airport for your AEROFLOT flight departing Moscow at 4:30pm Arrive Yerevan the same day. Meet your guide and transfer to the Ani Plaza / Marriott hotel.B
SEP. 19 GARNI & GEGHART
Excursion to Garni, only pagan temple in Armenia, and incredible Christian Monastery of Geghart, partly carved out of solid rock from 11th-13th centuries. Experience traditional lavash making ceremony in Garni village. B L
SEP. 20 HAGHBAT & SANAHIN
Excursion to the province of Lori. Visit Haghbat, one of the largest medieval monasteries of Armenia. Next visit the Sanahin Monastery. The Haghbat and Sanahin Monasteries are considered jewels of medieval Armenian architecture, pre- served by UNESCO, included in the World Heritage List. B L
SEP. 21 KHOR VIRAP & ARMENIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY
Visit to Victory Park, statue of Mother Armenia and Cascade. Also visit the historic Khor Virap Monastery, the site where St. Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned. Participate in celebration of Armenian Independence Day.B L
SEP. 22 AMBERD & OSHAGAN
Excursion to Amberd Fortress located on the picturesque slope of Mt. Aragats, the highest peak in Armenia. Also see Artashavan and the village of Oshagan, burial site of Mesrob Mashtots near Ashtarak. B
SEP. 23 TSAGHKADZOR, SEVAN & DILIJAN
Visit the resort town of Tsaghkadzor, a winter paradise and tourist destination year round. Continue your journey to Lake Sevan. Climb up Sevan peninsula and see ‘Sevanavank’ atop the mountain. The excursion follows into Dilijan, where you will visit Haghartsin Monastery. B L
SEP. 24 YEREVAN CITY TOUR
Your city tour includes a visit to the Matenadaran, the statue of David of Sassoun, St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral, and Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Monument and Museum. B D
SEP. 25 ETCHMIADZIN & SARTARABAD
Visit the church of the Holy Virgin St. Hripsime. Pilgrimage to Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the first official Christian church in the world, built in 301 A.D. Depart Etchmiadzin to Sartarabad, symbol of Armenian pride and survival. Visit the Monument and Ethnographic Museum. B L
